The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in business, health, or a related field and strong time management skills/experience. Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills, proficient computer skills, and strong analytical skills. Experience in grant writing is preferred. Anticipating needs while continuing to maintain a high level of professionalism is extremely important.


  • Managing calendar for executive, scheduling appointments and making travel arrangements for meetings and conferences
  • Coordinating research programs including assistance with data analysis and interpretation, manuscript preparation, grant submission, and presentation of work to appropriate parties
  • Developing administrative project plans associated with partnerships and other business ventures, represent the Department and serve as a liaison to other University personnel and outside professional organizations and groups, and serve as a resource providing general information and problem resolution for operational activities
  • Assisting staff to develop research budgets, monitor and approve expenditures related to studies to ensure compliance with University policy
  • Maintaining appropriate records and study documentation, including consents and WSU Institutional Review Board (IRB) submission of new protocol documentation, study continuances, and closure forms
  • Working with staff and social media organizations to determine, compile, and edit content as necessary
  • Managing multi-faceted workloads with multiple deadlines while working on supervised and independent projects
  • Performing other duties as assigned



The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in business or related field. Candidates must be self-motivated and have strong communication skills, proficient computer skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with medical terminology preferred, but not required. Candidates must also demonstrate attention to detail in order to achieve a high degree of accuracy. Experience and/or knowledge of electronic data management systems, database systems design, validation, quality control and implementation, and the entire data management life cycle is required.


  • Collects and maintains data internally and/or using electronic databases
  • Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
  • Handles sensitive and/or confidential documents and information related to our research
  • Analyzes and prepare documents to be scanned
  • Converts hardcopy documents to electronic images using sheet-fed imaging equipment
  • Follows standard operating procedures to ensure the quality of the images and data integrity
  • Meets weekly productivity standards
  • Performs regular scanner maintenance
  • Communicates with manager or supervisor on job or deadline issues
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
